Theme of The Game
Zeus: God of Thunder is one of the games that WMS has designed, and it’s a recent release of theirs as well. For the theme, they didn’t go overboard, choosing a story about the gods of Ancient Greece and about Zeus in particular, their leader.
The overall look of the game is a decent one, but there are elements that could’ve been improved significantly, and I’m talking about the poker logos in this case. The other elements are made up of images with Zeus, with lions, huge birds, laurel crowns, pottery and thunderbolts.
You will notice that you get three bonus wheels that spin, placed at the top, plus five fixed jackpot values that can be very good motivators, the latter being placed in the top right corner. It’s a decent looking game overall, though it’s not going to compete with the best available out there.
WMS, or Williams Interactive, has been a major name in the gambling industry, particularly in the land based one. They’ve made the switch to the online market as well, as all its competitors have, and now they have a good number of mobile slot machines that are available in that category.
They provide the player with a good mix of games, some of them modern and designed to be played as mobile slots (Crystal Forest, Double Buffalo Spirit and others).
How To Play It
The betting system is not a great one, involving 30 lines but requiring 50 coins, and that’s before you even get a chance to activate the extra bet. With the extra bet included, the total bet reaches 75 coins. With coin values starting at $0.01 and reaching $1 at most, the complete betting range will be from $0.50 to $75.
The extra bet that you can activate here will give you something extra when it comes to the features that can be triggered. Though the wheels that spin at the top make it look like a different type of slot machine, in the end you still just spin reels and form combinations, while the features give you instructions on what you have to do if they trigger.
It’s the background image that is shown behind the symbols, which can trigger the Wheel feature, and that’s unusual. If you get three, four or five symbols on the same row, with a transparent background image on them, then you get access to one of the three wheels shown at the top.
There will be prizes, random wilds and two types of free spins available through the wheels. The five jackpots are also offered through these wheels, though the bigger ones require the 5 in a row wheel.
Wild symbols are going to be shown on the middle three reels only, and they will always have a 2x multiplier to apply to wins.
The really big prize in Zeus: God of Thunder is the jackpot that you get through the Wheel, which can reach a $100,000 total value. Otherwise, the payouts will get up to $500 at most, and that’s with a wild symbol contributing with its multiplier.
The thing to enjoy here is the features that are somewhat unique, along with the big fixed jackpots. The theme and the graphics are not the best though.
