Theme of The Game
Johnny Jungle is a new mobile slot that’s been made by a long standing developer, going by the name of Rival Gaming. The theme that they decided to choose for this game is not that unusual unfortunately, and I know of dozens of other mobile slots which do pretty much the same thing.
We’re talking about an adventurer that goes into a South American jungle, looking for a hidden temple, belonging to some long disappeared civilization from the region.
Graphics wise, I found the design acceptable, but in the usual line that I’m used to seeing from Rival Gaming, and nowhere close to the best looking games that are released in 2017. Among the major symbols, the player will find Johnny, a Monkey Monster, a Gold Idol, flowers, a walkie talkie, a knife, a compass and a binocular.
Developer
For more than a decade, Rival Gaming has been designing regular and mobile slots for this market. They’ve managed to put out more than 150 titles so far, and so naturally you will discover a lot of variety in the content that they’ve released up to this point.
Their iSlots appear to be the most popular games that they create. Some of my favorites include titles like Arabian Tales, the series called As The Reels Turn, or the cute retro title called Atomic Age.
How To Play It
The three areas that you can modify in the bets are the number of lines, the number of coins and the denomination of said coins. You can have coin denominations that get up to $0.25 only, but you can use up to 10 coins for a single line.
Finally, you can modify the number of lines as well, with up to 25 active each round. The maximum line bet can be set to $2.50, while the total bet can reach $62.50. As for the minimum bet, it can go as low as $0.01.
This is as regular of a slot machine as you can get. If you discount the features available in it, all you have to do is select a wager (using up to three variables) and then click on the Spin button.

Special Features
The symbol with Johnny Jungle on it will act as a wild which applies 2x multipliers to wins formed with its help. It can also form combinations by itself and so you can expect it to offer rewards that reach 1,000x the line bet, or up to $2,500.
Pick an Idol is a bonus game that starts up whenever you have 3+ Gold Idol symbols anywhere in view. There is a choice to be made here, from a number of coins, which will return to you a prize.
The game doesn’t stop at offering just wilds and bonus games. It also has 10 to 30 free spins to give you, for which you will need to get a minimum of three symbols with the red monster, but in any position. During free spins, the wild symbols will become sticky, meaning that they remain in the position in which they land until the end of the feature.
Maximum Payouts
With the game promising to pay up to 1,000x, this can mean a reward of up to $2,500 cash at most. The RTP is at 94.50%, which I consider acceptable, but far from great since most new slots will do better than it in this area.
Summary
Johnny Jungle is a new Rival Gaming game, but it’s not quite up to the level of other 2017 mobile slots yet. Feature and graphics wise it feels like an average title.
