Theme of The Game
Ho Ho Tower looks like a winter and Christmas themed mobile slot machine, that much you can figure out quickly. What’s less clear is what its main theme is. On one hand, you get all the Christmas like stuff, with tree decorations that are placed on a Bonsai tree and with snowflakes falling down.
There are also sweets that are colored in white and red, including the candy cane. On the other hand, there are classic symbols, such as the 7. Finally, we have the Asian influence in the design, starting with the fact that there is that Bonsai tree that is decorated for Christmas, and continuing with the skyline of Hong Kong which is shown in the background. The title of the game apparently comes from a very tall building that is present in Hong Kong.
The design is of very high quality, so that’s one part that I certainly feel that Elk Studios got right in this case. Various logos and flowers make up the rest of the symbols, on top of the ones I already mentioned above.
The name of the company that has worked on Ho Ho Tower is ELK Studios. The developer is a young one, being around for several years already. They have been working and putting out new games on a regular basis, though they don’t seem to be rushing to create a huge collection. They seem to prefer offering higher quality in their games. One other game of theirs which told people early on that they were serious about their work was Electric Sam.
How To Play It
There is a certain betting range that you may use in Ho Ho Tower, which starts at $0.10 and ends up at a maximum of $50. These are fixed total bets that you choose from a betting screen. You also have betting strategies that you can implement in this game, the game increasing or decreasing wager values by itself, depending on the option that you go with. It’s an optional thing though, so you can keep full control over the wager if you want to.
You have 99 connecting win lines in the game, the mobile slot using for this purpose 5×3 reels, which feel a bit crowded this way. 100 coins are part of each wager.
The Ho Ho Tower Logo is a mystery symbol, which by appearing is transformed into a randomly chosen symbol. If it’s transformed into a special Blue Bonus symbol, then that is a direct trigger for the bonus game, with the maximum number of lives possible coming with it.
Speaking of the bonus game, you usually activate it with the assistance of regular Bonus symbols, colored in gold and red. These appear scattered on the reels, three to five times, with additional lives available if you get four or five symbols.
Wheels of the Sky is the name of the feature activated by the scatters. You spin reels here, advancing to the next wheel or getting a payout and ending the feature immediately. The higher the level reached, the better the payouts found on the wheel. The best one gets to 50,000 coins, on the third wheel.
The bonus feature is going to pay the biggest prize, with up to 50,000 coins being available on those wheels. The actual value of those prizes could reach $25,000.
Ho Ho Tower is not a conventional Christmas themed slot machine, but then again there is plenty of competition in that area already. It does well enough with its unique angle and the features offered.
