Theme of The Game
The theme in Diamond Empire is as much a classic as is inspired by the Art Deco movement from the beginning of the 20th century. The beauty of the decorations that were created back then is admired to this day, and you can see an example of what they achieved in the background image of the game.
Sadly, it doesn’t translate as well when it comes to the on-reel content, which is still heavily populated with things like cherries, bar logos in their three variants, red 7s or diamonds.
Though the story might be lacking, Diamond Empire is well designed overall, and it doesn’t give you the impression that it’s a classic slot machine, even though it has the reels and theme of one. It goes as far as it can for a modern slot machine, despite the fact that the layout doesn’t favor that kind of thing.
Developer
A certain level for the quality of the game is pretty much guaranteed when you’re looking at a slot machine from a bigger developer.
Microgaming is as big as they get these days, and it shows. They offer over 500 titles across all their platforms, with varying degrees of quality since some are older than others. Look at their recent content, and you’re going to find slots like this one, which look good even if they’re sporting a classic theme.
How To Play It
For 15 fixed lines which the game employs, there will be as many as 10 coins selected in each case, while the coin size can be increased up to $0.50. You can spend $5 per line if you want to, or up to $75 total. The minimum bet can be as low as $0.15 though.
This is a game with 3 reels and 15 active lines, an unusual combination for a classic layout. You need symbols to form combinations while using all positions from the line they’re on, so you don’t get paid if there are fewer than that.

Special Features
You’re not going to find a lot of classic slot machines with elaborate features, but we’ve already established that Diamond Empire is no typical 3-reel game.
To start with, the game has its wild multipliers, in the form of double Diamond symbols. Acting as wilds, these can replace any other type of symbol that’s used in a new combination. Get a single wild to be in a combo, and the win is multiplied by 2x. With two wilds doing the same thing, you get 4x the usual payout. Ideally though, you need all three to be forming their own combo, since they pay the 10,000x jackpot at that point.
Next, you get the Bonus Wheel. It’s activated by the presence of three Bonus Wheel scatters, which just need to be visible somewhere in the 3-reel area. You get one spin of a Bonus Wheel and a prize from it, which will multiply the total bet.
Maximum Payouts
The payouts that you get from Diamond Empire can look great, particularly when the wilds get involved as regular symbols which form their own combinations. Three wilds will pay 10,000x the line bet, or up to $50,000 cash. Even regular combinations can be interesting though, since the 2x-4x multipliers from the wilds can get exciting.
Summary
It has more lines than a regular 3-reel slot, better graphics, more features and larger rewards, so you have every reason to try out Diamond Empire for yourself.
