Samba Carnival is the second release from Play’N Go this year, the first one was Book of Dead and it was only available on mobile devices. This time though it will be different since this title is going to be released simultaneously in HTML5 and Flash, which means you will have the chance to play it from any mobile device, tablet or computer.
The game is based in a colourful parade of garotas, fresh fruits and fireworks. There are 9 different symbols in Samba Carnival with one bonus scatter, one wild symbol, three high paying symbols and four low paying symbols, all designed exclusively for this game.
With 5 reels and 15 paylines Samba Carnival features an explosion of color, sounds, lots of fireworks and beautiful garotas. All of the symbols were created specifically for this game like the maracas that are one of the best features of this game, or the bongo drum which is the scatter, if you get 3 or more at the same time you will trigger the Bongo Bonus feature, which we will explain in the special features section.
Founded in the 90’s by a group of computer geeks that realised they could pool their knowledge together to create a gaming company, Play’N Go became known for being the extremely meticulous with the coding of their games, focusing on upping the entertainment while eliminating the hassle.
How To Play
You will find all the different options and settings the game provides on the bottom of the screen, they are from left to right: the option to set the value of the coins, how many coins you want to wager, the amount of paylines you want to have available, the bet max button I will explain in the next section. the traditional spin button and the autoplay option.
There are three special features in this game, you might think they are not enough to make the game appealing but they are not your common set of features.
The first one is the wild maracas symbol, they have the ability to substitute all other symbols on the reels except the Samba symbol. For example, if you spin and one of the paylines contains four matching symbols plus a Wild Symbol, the payline would count as having five matching symbols, so you would get a corresponding prize.

Yes, I know this is a common feature but maracas are not you usual wild symbol, they come with a 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x number displayed on them which represent the amount of times they will multiply your win; maracas are both wild and multiplier symbols!
The second one is the Bongo scatter symbol, if you get three of them in a combination you will unlock the game’s Bongo Bonus, by choosing one of the three sets of drums on the screen you can win up to 150 times your bet.
The third one is the Gamble feature, it gives you the chance to guess the suit of a hidden card by paying a fee, if you get the correct answer and have a bit of luck the prize can go up to 2,500 coins.
To understand how much the jackpot of this game that is set at 2,500 coins can be worth it is important to know that the coin range goes from 0.15 to 75.00. The RTP is set at 95,79%.
This game is available on all devices, I like the theme and the design that comes with it, specially the animations the symbols have on the reels with every spin, the features are pretty cool but the jackpot is not that good unless you risk losing a lot.
I find other games by Play’N Go like Book of Dead and Eye of the Kraken to be much better developed than this one.
