Theme of the Game
For some, rock and roll was the pinnacle of music, but there’s plenty left who still remember the smooth sound of the saxophone and the rocking beats of jazz.
The pull of the beat and the appeal of it’s musical notes are brought to us by Genesis Gaming in their newest slot, Live Jazz. With a gorgeous interface tempting you with great food, aged drinks, and jazz-themed instruments and locations, you’ll be stringing along on this five reel, five payline where the music never stops.
Developer
Genesis Gaming has been around since 2008, and grew big with high quality, flexible games to climb the ladders of the global iGaming industry. Odds are you played one of their slots before, whether it was a general release, or a more customised slot they design for a specific client.
Offering both land and online gaming on desktops and mobile devices, Genesis continues to deliver the high standard expected of them.
How to Play
Straight off, the slot allows you to adjust how much you’re willing to spin. It gives you the option of going with as little as $0.1 all the way up to $4 per spin. In addition, you can also increase or decrease your payout along a certain payline using the plus and minus signs on the side, which brings the cost of each spin up or down.
Unlike other slots, wins here are paid left to right and right to left on the payline, except for Scatters, which can be anywhere. Only the highest win is paid and all wins are multiplied by the bet.
The game offers a varied selection of jazz-themed icons – with a cloudy sky filled with notes for a Scatter, the Live Jazz neon sign as a Wild, a female singer, bass player, musical notes and trumpet as higher paying symbols and a lamppost, bar, lobsters, scotch and sign as lower paying icons.
Live Jazz allows you to gamble your winnings as well! You can pick between doubling or tripling your win. For doubling, you need to pick one in four cards, while for tripling, you need to pick one in three. You can do this 8 times in total, or up to $10,000 in winnings. Naturally, if you miss one gamble, you lose everything.
The game also allows you to set an autoplay feature. You can click how many times you wish to spin from 10 to 50, and you can select when you want autoplay to stop spinning.
You can set it to stop on a win, if you win a bonus game, if a single win exceeds a certain value, if your balance increases by a certain value, and if it decreases by a certain value.

Special Feature
The game only has one real special feature, but it delivers on it fantastically. Get three or more Scatters on the reels, and you trigger Live Jazz Free Spins, which is a two part bonus feature. First, the slot will ask you to pick a bar out of five, at which point you will be assigned a number of free spins.
You can get 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25 free spins, all for one bet. Second, you’re taken inside a bar, and you’re given a choice of instruments to pick out. Your choice will give you extra Wilds that will appear for the free spins. You can get 2, 3, 4 and 5 extra Wilds.
And to add to this treat, if you earn three Scatters during your free spins, you can win another round of Live Jazz Free Spins as well!
Maximum Payout
The game lists it’s theoretical RTP at 97.257%. The game is varied in allowing how much you can bet, as at lowest, with only one payline active and the lowest bet level, you can spin for $0.01, while at highest bet level and payline value, you will be betting $100 per spin.
The highest paying icon in the game is the Wild, so lining up five Wilds along a payline will net you a cozy 200x your stake.
Summary
With a unique theme and well designed gameplay, there’s little stopping the newest Genesis release. A highly customizable reel set, variable bet levels for the low end and high end rollers, and a gambling mechanic will make sure you’re not bored – while the smooth jazz fills your audio and you drink in the gorgeous graphics the game has to offer.
Available on both mobile and desktops, Live Jazz is most certainly an experience, on you owe yourself to try out. We can give it an easy recommendation. Give it a go, you may end up walking out of that jazz bar with more in your pockets than you came in with.
