How To Play It
The base game might seem a bit complicated, especially if you are trying the slot for the first time, but do not worry, since you will get the hang of it soon enough. The slot features a 5×4 layout and offers 40 fixed paylines, so all you need to worry about in the beginning is the amount of money you want to place in your bet.
The lowest you can go is $0.40 per spin, while the maximum bet is $200. As you may suspect, the 2016 release pays left to right, beginning from the far left reel, while three of a kind is the minimum for landing payouts.
The visuals are done perfectly and fit the theme completely, as well as the soundtrack. The reels are set in front of the mansion where the murder took place, with three mayor suspects functioning as high-paying symbols: Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Mrs. White. Special Features
Apart from the main reel set, you will also notice five additional reel sets placed on the right side of the screen. Each reel set represents one of the rooms in the mansion, and each set is triggered by the corresponding symbol.
The Conservatory is triggered once the Conservatory symbol appears on reel 1, and Mr. Green, Mrs. White and Mrs. Peacock are added to the reels, offering decent payouts for mixed combinations.
Billiard Room symbol awaits you on reel 2, and this room reel set can award you with up to 12 billiard ball Wilds, if the white ball appears on the central reel.
To go to the Library, simply land the corresponding symbol on reel 3, where you will get up to two stacked Wilds.
The Kitchen symbol appears on reel 4. Beware of knifes once you enter the Kitchen, since up to 15 knife Wilds will be added to the reels.
The Dining Room is triggered once the Dining Room symbol appears on reel 5, where you can expect up to five full reels of poison Wilds.
Each of the extra reel sets are played only once and offer separate Wilds and Jackpots, which can be won by landing five Magnifying Glass Scatters.
The WMS product offers two Bonus features. Mansion Bonus Scatters appear on reels 1, 3 and 5, reward gamers with 7 freebies once on the reels. You start off in the Conservatory Room reel set. If you land an Envelope Scatter on reel 5, you will get an additional freebie and a free pass to some of four other room reel sets. Each of the room reel sets will be played as we already described, and each of them offer the same Bonus as during the base game.
Spinning Detective Bonus is triggered by landing three Card Bonus Scatters, where the slot takes you to a different screen where you get to pick seven cards and try to solve the case by revealing the suspect, the room and the weapon of the same colour.
If you get only two matching symbols, you will be given a last chance with 1 additional pick. If you solve the case, you will get three additional picks.
Maximum Payouts
The Mansion Jackpot symbol is the highest paying symbol of the WMS product, offering 250 times the triggering bet for five of a kind. Try to go to the Dining Room, since it offers the biggest possible payout in the slot, 500 times the bet to be exact, while the kitchen offers a jackpot of 100 times the initial bet.
